Loved it here, great value. Superb location, people on desk were lovely and the cafe / bar downstairs has a nice atmosphere. Beach opposite is amazing and behind the hotel is the old town.

Great location, great value. Arrived to start the Camino so stayed 2 nights. The front desk woman was incredibly helpful and nice. The a/c worked perfectly and the water was hot. The cafe on the ground floor was very convenient to always have a cup of coffee or wine available. Perfect location on the harbor with the rooms on end sharing harbor views. I would recommend to anyone for the value. One request- a few extra pillows would be nice :)

I was apprehensive about this place, considering some of the negative reviews I had read, but I was pleasantly surprised. Very friendly staff, comfortable room, great location, and A/C worked beautifully. Breakfast is served in a restaurant open to the public, so they can’t offer a buffet like some of the other hotels on the Camino, but it was more than adequate.

Stayed here for 2 nights while walking the Portuguese Coastal Camino. The location is excellent, lots of nice restaurants near the hotel. The front desk staff was excellent and very attentive. The breakfast was more than adequate and I had enough left over for my lunch! I needed a taxi transfer back to the hotel after my day of walking and Beatrice not only handled the call but offered to have us email her 5 days down the road when we would be doing another transfer! The room was quiet and had plenty of room. I would definitely stay there again.

I was not very happy with the stay in this hotel. The walls are paper thin und the noise from the bars and restaurants in the vicinity was too much in the room. The room itself was in a poor state (it hasn’t seen fresh paint in decades). Toilet and sink were loose (not dangerously, but very annoying). Breakfast was a voucher for a few limited items (croissant, juice, coffee). The quality of the food was not bad, though. All in all I can not recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a wonderful location if you want to be very near to the beach and just a few steps from lots of restaurants, cafes, shops and the harbor. It is a lovely place, very clean and pleasant. The front desk staff are gracious and welcoming. BUT: it is very noisy, especially noticeable after sunset through sunrise. Neither the white noise of the air conditioner nor the heavy curtains helped enough. People were singing and yelling (happily) to each other regularly on the street below our window between midnight and 4:30 am and then the street cleaners equipment started up at 5 pm. BRING EARPLUGS if you are considering staying here.
