The reception, access and key collection was a fiasco, on the morning of the day we moved in we still didn’t know where the place was in spite of many requests. We found it eventually by google maps and detective work. Every day except Sunday at 10.00 am a pump and machinery starts up and can be heard from below in the garage area on which this property is situated, probably something to do with irrigation of the surrounding banana crops. It is intrusive and destroys the peace and quiet. The bathroom is small and the floor is wet through every time the shower is used due to it being a shower curtain flapping about and sticking to your back whilst performing gymnastics. Not safe due to slipping. On our arrival the shower tray rapidly filled with water due to the outlet being partially blocked with hairs- I removed the drain and cleaned them out. Also it is effectively outside the house- the balcony has to be crossed to reach it. I spoke to Paramount and told them of the problems, they said someone would come and look- no one came. We asked for heaters to be available before we left the U.K., knowing from experience that it would be cool in the evenings,- they took 4 days to arrive. The so called ‘garden’ was a rough concrete yard. The plate glass top on the balcony table had a piece of glass as big as the palm of a hand broken out of it, dangerous. Hollows and dips in the main bedroom mattresses, not comfortable, also old fashioned blankets instead of a duvet. No iron or ironing board, no toaster, no potato peeler, both bedside lights did not work. The view from the balcony is fine in one direction only, if you look down it’s onto piles of scrap and discarded rubbish as the property is situated in a semi derelict industrial type area. On our arrival we found that the gas pipe was not connected to the supply tank, being a retired Engineer I knew how to do this but could have been a problem for others. In conclusion there are better places at a cheaper price.

the place is situated over a storage room for water & chemicals (there is a warning sign on the door of that room saying "prodotos toxicos" ) for the banana plantation, and everyday at around 10 am a super noisy pump downstairs was running for around 2 hours - so it was impossible to stay in 1 of the sleeping rooms due to that noise, and it was also not very comfortable on the veranda as long as the pump was running the bathroom was pretty small, and it was a sort of gymnastic excercise to shower without flooding the bathroom - as there was only a fiddly curtain around the shower - might be a problem not only for elderly guests ... we also found that the same place was advertised at least 2 times in booking.com (and on other portals - watch out for the photos) at different prices - strange practice ..
