La Capellanía

A great experience in La Rioja overall. Mercedes and Clara are very knowledgeable and helpful. Very clean and nice breakfasts.

Carla and Mercedes were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The property is beautiful, and located right in the center of San Asensio near the main plaza. The breakfasts were generous and delicious. The room was enormous by Spanish standards, and well equipped. Great water pressure and the water was as hot as you wanted.

Stayed in this delightful hotel for two nights. We were greeted and looked after by Clara and Mercedes who couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. They are both extremely knowledgeable about the area and only too pleased to advise. The rooms are lovely and the ambience of the hotel is more like staying in someone's house. Breakfast was most enjoyable with a good variety of choices including freshly squeezed orange juice and even boiled eggs. Just fabulous. San Asensio itself is a small pueblo with cool narrow streets and very interesting to explore. This was a return visit for two of us which can sometimes be a disappointment but it was just as fantastic as we remember. Thank you Clara and Mercedes.
