“Stylish and exceptional”

We loved everything about this house. It was so spacious and stylish. Everywhere I looked, I just loved everything. Every light fitting, every tile, everything :). It is a mixture of interesting old features, merged really well with modern artistic touches. The lift was a great luxury, and good fun. The roof terrace was wonderful, with some incredible plants, and the view of the Alcazaba was stunning. It was a lovely place to have breakfast and evening drinks. I would not necessarily live in Almeria, but I would definitely love to live in this house, it has so much style :) Thank you Juan.

“Lovely house in a great location in central Almería”

The Casa Azul was a really lovely place to stay and our host, Juan, was welcoming and very helpful. He was also easy to contact. The house was very charming, extremely comfortable and very well equipped. We particularly loved the roof terrace where even in January, we could sit out and enjoy the beautiful weather. The lift was a great surprise and much appreciated. The garage parking space nearby was a bonus. The advantage of the house was that it is located in the old town and so we could walk everywhere in the centre with ease. The city was very charming and we were surprised how much there was to see. We visited the amazing Alcazaba, the Archaeological and photographic museums as well as the cathedral, the food market and the refuges (air raid shelters) from the civil war and the beautiful Monasterio de la Purisma Concepción. All very worthwhile. We had a marvellous day trip to the Alhambra Granada (by car). There are plenty of nice cafes and restaurants to eat in within 15-20 minutes walk -two great cafes for breakfast very nearby…Churros Manolo one minute away and Cafe-Bar Mirador de la Alcazaba less than five mins walk just opposite the entrance to the Alcazaba. There’s a supermarket a minute away too! Overall a great holiday and we were pleasantly surprised by Almería.
