“Near never breakdown in Alcala de Henares”

The apartment itself was nice, centrally located and admitted pets.

To be improved

There are quite a few steps up to the apartment and no life so may not be suitable for someone with mobility issues.The was no double glazing so was very noisy at night especially on Friday night - but my main complaint is the overly complicated registration system and Javier the host was singularly unhelpful. It took nearly an hour to get the codes to enter. I knew there was an extra charge for my dog but he wouldn't ever give me the codes until I had paid for the dog (25 euro) despite my reassurances. I felt untrusted. There was a washing machine but no detergent to use it.

“Great location, easy to check-in and check-out. · Cons: The bad sheets were ripped in a few places and had some old blurs. A strange smell was ceasing out only if the windows were open for long enough. There was a distinct smell of cat pee downstairs. The wifi network indicated in the email was just absent. An alternative network suggested upon a request was very weak. Pretty much everything had insignificant damages, which spoiled the perception. The bathroom is unexpectedly small. The place is generally overpriced.”

“Apartment has potential but some issues to address (not for light sleepers).”

The best

Nice apartment, generally, comfortable bed and sofa bed, cupboard space for clothes, great central location, kitchen facilities, simple code and key access (though could only get outside with the one key - no handle), lovely balcony & view out on the square, milk and coffee provided and sample cereals.

To be improved

No instructions on site - ie where things were, how to use items, and no WiFi access, limited toilet roll (had to buy more), no curtain/blind over end window/old doorway, creaky doors in complex so very noisy when anyone coming in and out. Air con there but not working (would have messaged but see last point). Not very sound proof - awoken every morning with outside sounds of work vehicles, clock tower bell and people in early hours. Slightly quieter in lounge so ended up sleeping in there. Couldn't get any reply from anyone once we arrived (didn't answer messages - though had had messages prior).

“Location is 10/10. Smooth check-in; however, I would love it if an early check-in option were available. It is right in the town centre, so if you have a car, you will have to drive around a couple of times to park it. DIA (the supermarket) is only a 5-minute walk away. If you are searching for halal food, a kebab shop is right below your apartment. Indian restaurants and Irish burger places are also very close. The bakeries are fabulous. The apartment has three small balconies. Our kids loved them. There were enough blankets, sheets, and towels. The shower is also good. A hairdryer and hair straightener are provided. The first-aid box was also very thoughtful. We loved it so much that we extended our stay for two more nights and got the next apartment. The person on the phone told us to leave all our luggage in the previous apartment, and they happily moved it to the next one for us. Words of recommendation: furniture and walls need a thorough cleaning. A step stool would be great for kids to use the sink. Thanks.”
