La casa vieja de Marchenilla

Great rural stay. Well equipped house with 2 bedrooms. Nice patio with a table. Gas heated water, so there might be a small surprise while taking a shower ;). It would be nice to have a kettle for boiling water though. For larger people shower might be a bit claustrophobic, but it had to be squeezed into the ancient house so was not a problem at all for us. If you use internet based navigation (like Waze) - set your destination while being inside on wifi, as there are no coverage around the property.

The house is located halfway between Jimena de la Frontera and Castellar. Perfect for visiting both. Marchenilla is a small aldea, very quiet. Yet within minutes walking distance there is a very nice venta, its serves delicious tipical for this zone dishes. The house is very nicely decorated, traditional Spanish country house. It's a bungalow, it was great for us, no stairs. It has a lovely patio at the back, with a BBQ and a dining area. Flower pots and fruit trees around make the patio more as a small garden. There are many tracking routes in the Natural Park of Arcorconales. Very comfortable materaces and pillows in both bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen. Just everything perfect for relaxing stay. Both Belinda and Miguel are very helpful and perfect hosts, and making sure we were comfortable and had everything during our stay. Thank you very much, we hope to come back soon.
