“Exceptional”

Newly refurbished. Nice owners. Not too far from Luarca. You can actually take a shortcut to Luarca, which Google maps doesn't show. Owner can provide child crib. Heating of the house is done with stove and wood pellets, and it is pretty quick, so you have a "romantic" fireplace.

To be improved

The roads to the apartment are tight with lot of turns, so if you are not confident driver, might be stressful. The last 100m the road is more uneven, but nothing any car shouldn't handle. There is no door for the bedroom, so you hear everything from the bottom floor. For some might not be an issue. When you want to leave the window opened to cool the bedroom, you cool the whole bottom. Also, there were mosquitos in this area and there are no window screens to prevent bugs, so we spent few nights chasing around unwanted visitors . It would be great to put a widnow screen at least on the bedroom window and maybe on one window downstairs.

“Great chill out location.”

The best

We loved the house especially it's rural location and views from the balcony of surrounding mountains. Had everything we needed for our short stay and our host Raquel could not of been more welcoming. She even baked us a delicious lemon drizzle cake for our arrival.

To be improved

We didn't mind but it was a little tricky to find and it's location would not suit everyone. 30 minute walk into Luarca and return quite steep so for some people this would not work out.

Wonderful house in a beautiful location within walking distance of Luarca. The pictures don't do the place justice. We didn’t want to leave!
