“Es un fraude, it's a scam”

Beware of this place. We chose the apartment for allowing pets. We booked and prepaid (only available option) on booking.com for two weeks over Christmas. Upon receipt of the booking confirmation, the company running the apartment building (La casita de Chloe, Sofia, Lauri, Peter: are all in the same building/same company) contacted us indicating that there was a surcharge of Eur 30/day for our dog which we, in addition, yet had to pay directly into their bank account, I.S. Group. Would we have known of this surcharge we would not have selected it for our stay, yet now, having already prepaid our stay, we had no other option than to send additional funds into their bank account. However, the worse was yet to come. A few days before our trip they contacted us again indicating that we yet had to pay a refundable deposit of Eur 400.- directly into their I.S. Group bank account. Again, we had no other option than paying on the premise to receive it back. Before and during our stay we would be in contact with them through WhatsApp with their local handyman who would always reply in due time. When leaving and returning the key we were told to expect the deposit to be returned within the next 5 working days. Nearly two months have passed now and we are still waiting for our Eur 400.- refund. What is yet the more upsetting is that they no longer reply to our messages nor phone calls on WhatsApp. It’s a scam!
