“Restaurant and bar being open cannot be relied upon on Booking.com's listing. Difficult owners.”

A great hotel if you want to sit in your room with no access to a bar or a restaurant, they were both closed.

To be improved

I booked the evening before because it had a restaurant and bar. When I arrived I was told the restaurant and bar was closed. Apparently a message was sent in the middle of the night saying the restaurant (not the bar) was closed but I did not see this. It is odd that the restaurant suddenly closes in the middle of the night. I believe the restaurant was never open and the listing was wrong. The owners have been very unhelpful. I cannot recommend this hotel. Reading the reviews this has happened before !!

“We felt very welcome at the check-in and they went out of their way to accommodate our schedule. We even got breakfast to go after we told them we were leaving early for a long drive. It was very clean, a big room with a desk and a heater which we especially appreciated. The WiFi was great, fast enough to watch a film and the shower was great as well! There's plenty of parking, it's well situated for exploring Somiedo or even to drive to the coast, wherever the weather is best! It's on a main road but we didn't have issues with noise, it's pretty quiet at night. · Cons: Everything was perfect, nothing to improve on.”

“Great base for exploring Somiedo NP”
The best

Located directly off the main road with good tarmacked drive leading to a large carpark. Always a bonus when travelling by motorbike. An excellent restaurant, very popular at lunchtime. Evenings were quieter. Although no vegetarian options on the standard menu, they couldn't have done more to accomodate me. Breakfast comprised cold meats, cheese, cake, toast and fresh orange juice. Once again the owner asked if she could prepare anything different for me.The room was spacious, airy and bright. The owners/staff were very pleasant.

When travelling by motorcycle this is vital information and we should have been informed at booking. On Booking.com it said there was a restaurant which would be open during our stay! Had to go to a shop in the nearby town which had limited supplies and eat in room, not ideal. Didn't want to sit in motorcycle gear at a restaurant in town in July. Three other motorcyclists arrived at the same time and were also disappointed. No hairdryer in room. Looking at the previous reviews I think we did not have the greatest experience of this hotel. “Cute countryside place with kind staff”
The best

The atmosphere, the place is rural and not near a town. Most importantly the staff were kind- our host saw we didn't eat the meat at breakfast, so she made us an omelette instead, which was super nice of her. Thanks!

To be improved

The beds weren't that comfy, and notice: it was two beds and not one large bed, so we were a bit surprised. Other than that, everything was super great.
