“Stylish retreat tucked away in the beautiful countryside.”

The best

A beautiful property designed and decorated in a style that is both comfortable and pleasing to the eye. Great views around the hotel with plenty of seating areas to relax and unwind including a very attractive pool area overlooking the countryside. The room was comfortable with everything necessary for a relaxing stay, no TV so you felt more inclined to disconnect. Comfortable bed and good breakfast, however the highlight of the stay for us was the fabulous meal we had in the restaurant. A very good chef and well appointed wine list for a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing break and the restaurant is a must.

To be improved

A very tiny issue was the couple of spiders we found in residence in the room indicated that the cleaning was not 100% but we had no complaints with the bathroom or the public areas. To be honest very little reason for this hotel not to score a 10 but we are hard markers. The hotel was surprisingly remote and I think to get the full experience of relaxing and switching off it would be more suitable as an adults only location, I could see it as a great Yoga or wellness property, although we weren't disturbed by the babies present it seemed an odd place to want to take a child.

“Tranquil Paradaise”

The best

This boutique hotel is a small oasis set back in the rolling hills where the pigs wander freely and cows graze outside your window. Those seeking a bit of peace and quiet will find it here. The room was very spacious. We loved the huge bed and the linens were of excellent quality. The restaurant which is part of the hotel was exceptional and to that belongs the service. We loved the landscaping in and around the property and the pool area was very inviting.

To be improved

The hotel offers a number of activities. We tried booking several of them but nothing came through. Understandable in off-season, however the communication regarding this was very poor. A, no, we can't arrange it at this time would of been much better than no news whatsoever. We did not let this affect our stay or our admiration for the hotel.

“We just loved this hotel. It has the most amazing views, especially from around the pool area. We liked the eclectic mix of furnishings and all the wonderful books laid out everywhere.
