“Beautiful room with a view - but more like an Air Bnb than a luxury hotel.”
The room was probably the most romantic we've stayed in & the overall design of the hotel is really stunning. The view was spectacular and the location was perfect, very close to the old town but tucked away and very quiet. The staff (if you're lucky enough to spot one) were lovely but mainly absent.
I don't think I'd call it a luxury hotel. Although we were given reception opening hours, we never saw a soul at the desk & the dodgy lock on the front door meant that we had to telephone for assistance to get in on more than one occasion - this didn;t feel like a warm welcome, more like an Air BnB. Although the room was beautiful there was nowhere to put anything, not even a chair, so everything is all over the floor. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, not even a jug of water - just 2 paper cups in the WC. The 'bar' didn't open until 8.30 at night so that was no use either if you wanted refreshments of any kind - again, not what you'd expect from a hotel, I ended up going to buy a kettle. The breakfast was truly disappointing - supermarket ham and cheese, supermarket unripe fruit, cheap looking yoghurt & a piece of toast, - although there was some fresh orange juice! I asked for eggs but was told there is no kitchen. It would be an OK breakfast in a B and B - definitely not a breakfast worthy of a room that's costing over 200 Euros a night, breakfast is one of the best bits about staying in a hotel but this was so basic I could've cried.
“quaint hotel but chose your room carefully”
great location and quaint property with fantastic roof terrace
our room on the ground floor had no outside window so felt very claustrophobic
“Everything, particularly the staff❤️”
Everything, particularly the staff❤️
“Boutique with great views from the Terrace”
Friendly staff, nice design, very clean and fantastic location.
Foam pillows are a bit hard but that was really all.
“Excellent”
Everything was very good and up to standard. Very important to have zircon in the room
“Nice, but….”
Good location. Nice rooftop restaurant
Pillows were very very hard. There was some sort of “pump” noise that didn’t stop all night. Difficult to sleep well.
