The whole thing experience was excellent. The ambiance, the staff, and the breakfast, together with the central location in this atmospheric city gave a happy memory. lol

“Character in a historic small town”

The best

Character hostal with very friendly and helpful English speaking staff. Situated in the center of a charming historic town on a hill overlooking a river valley. Plenty of parking in the square a couple of minutes walk away. Lovely big room with seating area, everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfast had plenty of choice especially of local delicacies.

To be improved

We arrived in 35 degree heat, and while the thick walls of the property kept the interior quite cool it would have been nice to have had a/c in the room (or at least a fan). This is pretty normal these days, even in lower priced accommodation.

“This was our third stay, good location and handy for the ferry from Santander. Breakfast very good and great choice, no cooked, except for tortilla, a good buffet. Room was okay, although a bit dark, no window that you could see a view through except the sky. This was the smallest room at this location, no desk or table for working/laptop. WiFi worked okay, a little slow. Bed was comfortable, although no extra pillow. · Cons: Disappointed - The specification on the booking form stated room with a garden view or city view. There was no window that you could see out of except a ceiling one and we could see the sky, felt claustrophobic. Lights in bathroom did not work, three lights only one worked, reported it but not fixed. No extra pillow”
