The online check-in is extremely complicated and we tried both from a mobile phone and a laptop and had huge problems. Finally, we got stuck at the final step, when you are required to sigh a contract with the property. Who signs a contract for a one night stay at a holiday rental? And before that we had to send copy of the passport and a selfie holding your passport. Who the hell do they think they are? The Moncloa? The Spanish law does require lots of information, but a selfie? Which, then, the system does not allow to upload? In addition to that, you get threatened as well: if you don't do all this before arrival you will be charged an extra 30 Euros; and the door access will be blocked till you sign the contract. Sorry but I don't respond well to threats, and when I am on holiday I don't need unnecessary stress. The owner or staff was no help

bedrooms had no windows

Communication getting virtual keys…internet wouldn’t allow me to download passports….hosts couldn’t understand me trying to explain to them what had happened…it became very stressful and frustrating…luckily I had all the documentation with me, was able to photograph and send the necessary documents…also in the future,it would be a good idea,to send virtual key instructions via “booking.com”,not a random message from a unknown person,asking for passport details and personal information,straight away,we all thought it was a scam,and they were fishing for information…..David Kirkham

The apartment is in a residential block and hence there is quite a bit of noise - both late at night and early in the morning. Its not unpleasant - just people going about their lives but if you are light sleepers you might get a bit disturbed. There was also quite a lot of dog barking from within the other apartments and again this was a bit noisy. The thing that was the most off-putting was a bad smell from the drains in the bathroom. This smell came and went and was sometime just a hint and sometimes pretty unpleasant. We were told it was due to the wind and was outside of the apartment owners control but regardless it was not very nice. If this smell was not there it would have been a more pleasant stay.
