The best

The main pool area is great (with kids too). There is enough space for everyone and the water is warm enough. The bars and shops are in the nearby. The size of the room is quite decent, and compared to other hotels in Spain, it is very silent (the walls are more on the soundproof end). The gym is really well-equipped.

To be improved

Uff, where to start. Even though the price/value ratio is ok, there were many things we weren't happy about. First of all, the check-in was delayed with over 2 hours, and we were not informed beforehand. The AC doesn't work properly in the rooms (during our stay it was between 28-33 degrees outside). The bathroom needs a massive renovation, it is not cleaned properly. The apartment blocks don't have elevators, so you need to drag your heavy luggages up and down the stairs. The only elevator in the main block was off for days, and no one repaired it. About the restaurants: The small one near the pools offers very low quality food. The big one near the reception offers much better quality, but the plates, glasses, cutleries are so dirty, oh my god. I've never seen anything like that before in a hotel. Utter negligence. Shockingly disgusting. My father even had a blister on his mouth. One evening we couldn't find any clean glasses (or there was NONE) so we drank the juices from a bowl...ridiculous. The staff was nice, but most of the time they weren't able to provide correct information on certain things. Another thing which was a bit strange to me is that there was a waitress from our home country in the restaurant, and she wasn't willing to communicate with us in our native language, even though we were greeting her in our language. She seemed to be feeling awkward welcoming us. The location of the hotel is only good for those who don't want to explore La Palma, just to stay there. It is very far from everything, but the location is really nice though.

The best

I was surprised by the fact that we had 2 rooms for the 3 of us. The variety of restaurants and pools were excellent although more chairs could with cover against the sun.

A very good choice and laid out well so that there was space for everyone to take what they wanted.

To be improved

Some items had run out by the time I came to breakfast, which was not that late, e.g. honeycomb and the dark breads. Occasionally I left items of food on my table while I went to get a drink or more bread and the staff cleared it away thinking I had finished with it, e.g. honeycomb! The waiting staff were very efficient but in these instances, too efficient!
