Verified reviews from real guests who have already stayed here.
Very good relationship with Renata, who helped at all times.
The accommodation was very clean upon arrival.
Excellent amenities including a private pool and stunning views.
Overall a fantastic experience, would repeat without doubt.
Room quality is great considering the overall setup.
Not mentioned in the reviews but standard quality for this hotel tier.
“Disappointing holiday experience: Mains cold water supply to the property disrupted for eight days!”
Location of the property is excellent the views from the balcony are amazing but there really should be an awning above the balcony because by about four pm in the afternoon the sun shines right into the patio and it's unusable however there's an old large parasol on the patio that you can use to block out the sun but that sort of sums up the owner's attitude frankly. The property is in a very quiet peaceful area the property isn't a detached property it's a semi-detached bungalow joined to the adjacent property next door. The neighbours are very nice and keep themselves to themselves however the next door neighbour on the right of the property is renovating his property he has a CCTV camera pointing into the pool area of La Perla that issue needs addressed by the owner of La Perla and her neighbour. In short the accommodation is quite old and requires maintenance work done in a number of areas of the property the balustrade surrounding the pool area is crumbling in places and there's a 30 foot drop from the patio to the road below the property, the pool itself has clearly seen better days and the tiles just above the water line have been repaired with silicone probably because the tiles were leaking and the general area surrounding the pool is quite tired the parasols are hopeless and the sun beds are old and stained they've clearly been repurposed from the property next door judging by the recent photos of that property's pool area which has nice new sun beds and parasols. The en-suite shower base is cracked and unusable and the shower mixing valves in the property are non thermostatic so care would have to be taken when showering children and older adults.
Where to start! We lost the water supply to the accommodation on day three of our holiday and it continued to be disrupted for another eight days until finally the water supply to the accommodation finally gave up on day eight, there was water to the property just not to the actual accommodation, because the whole house water pump finally failed on day eight. The owners simply kicked the can down the road until they had no option but to replace the pump, which costs incidentally €220, on day nine. I had to carry buckets of water into the accommodation to fill the two WC cisterns in order to use the toilets, we couldn't use the showers when the water supply went off but eventually the owner let us have access to the adjacent property to use the shower and facilities in that property but frankly that property wasn't really ready for anyone to use as it hadn't been cleaned following the previous clients leaving but it was better than nothing I suppose. The swimming pool was cleaned once in fourteen days despite the owner telling us that it would be cleaned twice a week so by day twelve the pool was unusable but apparently I had to call the owner and ask for the pool to be cleaned. Then there was the cockroaches that we had to deal with, the owner said there was only one cockroach despite not actually living in the accommodation whilst we lived there so how she knows this is a bit of a mystery but she had a can of Master Lac cockroach killer in the plant room under the swimming pool. Anyway I had to use the Master Lac to kill at least three cockroaches in the property and at least 12 in the barbecue patio areas. The owner refuses to accept any responsibility for any of the above (I have our WhatsApp chats) and basically refused to engage with us once we returned to the UK. Booking.com have made us a derisory offer of €260 in compensation described as a goodwill gesture because the owner refuses to communicate further with us the clients or indeed Booking.com
