“Good value overnight stop”
The best

Stayed overnight heading back to Santander towards the end of our touring trip. Posada del Rancho is right on the side of the road but because of the one-way system, if travelling west to east, you have to pass it and go back on youself. Similarlly on leaving travelling east you go out of the village and need to turn around. The hotel contacts you to provide passport details prior to arrival and subsequently lets you know when your room is available. There is no reception and the room key is collected from the taverna below. We had an evening meal in the cafe/tapas bar in the grounds of the Hotel La Rancha. Breakfast was a simple affair (croissant, coffee, orange juice) included in the price we paid but I believe you could order add-ons if required.

To be improved

Perhaps some guidlines to direct you to the hotel from the main road. We'd already gone out of the village before we realized we'd missed the turning requiring a U-turn on quite a busy road.
