What a beautiful location! In the middle of a forest and so peaceful. The big country house is amazing, really historic and very atmospheric. Loved it!

To be improved

It was a long approach along a gravel track but worth it when you got to the end! The room was tired and the bed was hard. Also, we were stunned by the charge of 28 euros for our two small dogs.

The best

The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location was perfect for a planned stopover on the way from Alicante to Santander and just a few kilometres from the main route. We loved the quirky decor and country house feel and the room was perfect for our needs, warm, clean and comfortable. Though it was winter we also sat outside and enjoyed the terrace, but did not sample the outdoor pool! The food was simple and tasty and the breakfast was a generous continental buffet with the welcome option of eggs on toast. We thought the staff did everything they could to make us welcome and our stay was a pleasure and we can highly recommend.

To be improved

There was very little to not like. It was a bit less inviting as it was winter and hard to judge how they would cope if full but we had a lovely experience with the hotel pretty much to ourselves.
