La Quinta Menorca by PortBlue Boutique - Adults Only

We are on the final night of a 7 day half board stay at this hotel, and it has been truly lovely. We came to continue hiking the Cami de Cavals and explore the lovely coast and Ciutadella. The food was excellent with great attention to detail, especially the a la carte breakfast and dinner elements. The eggs benedict for breakfast were sublime and the best hot chocolate ever. The tasting menu was lovely.. Both Pablo and Maria in the restaurant were warm and welcoming, as was the friendly chef who popped out occasionally. Room was great. The pool was fantastic, all in all, a very relaxing and enjoyable week. It's a peaceful and tranquil environment, and we really enjoyed the lack of intrusive music. Highly recommended, and we will be repeating!

I do not think the hotel were responsible for my disappointment. Firstforbrige let me down. I was expecting a sit down meal with table service for my evening meal as I do not like buffets.

We love the hotel and have stayed there on numerous occasions either as a couple or as part of a bridge group. This visit was a combined one as we had a few days before it and one day after. We love the peacefulness and good service at the hotel and also the variety of restaurants and walks near it. Unlike some guests, we actually like having a bath with shower over it, and the way there is so much storage space in the rooms. It is very traditional but in a good way. Eva was very helpful in merging our bookings and making sure we got a ground floor room on the restaurant side for the whole time. That meant that our housekeeper was the efficient and delightful carmen again🙂 which was an extra bonus. I was in online contact with a lady, Helen, who stayed there just before us and was nervous about being a single guest. I reassured her and She messaged afterwards that the hotel staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.

The Hotel is in a purpose built resort of about 30 years old. Lots of hotels, apartments & Villas. The La Quinta is adult only and very peaceful and relaxing with no loud music blaring by the pool. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Our room a garden room was very clean, perfect for us with lots of drawers, shelving and hanging space, but a little old fashioned with shower over the bath and separate room for toilet and bidet. There was no charge for the room safe or pool towels. The dining room is lovely with the best food we have had in a hotel abroad. Buffet but service cooked breakfast and main courses in the evening, and great attentive waiting staff. Only 5 minutes walk to the Marina, or the beach. Rocky walk along the coast with rocky coves and turquoise blue water. Canoes, etc can be hired at the beach. Lots of restaurants and bars round the Marina area. We loved the Hotel but not the resort.

Excellent service, very poor food. No walk-in showers. Decent breakfast but other food pretty poor. Do not understand what a club sandwich is, ditto eggs benedict. Red wine consistently served chilled.

We just returned from a week half board at La Quinta. Super location,just a couple mins stroll from the Marina with its numerous bars&reastaurants and beaches. We loved the adults only aspect, most of the guests were well spoken and well behaved,no real riff raff, a mixture of mostly Brits and French with a few Spaniards staying there. Rooms are comfortable and very clean, not super modern but totally fine. Breakfast and dinner were decent quality, the salad buffet in the evenings very good. We both felt that the staff were lovely, honourable mentions go out to Simon and LuzMaria in the main restaurant who looked after us and the other servers were all charming and attentive. Reception and housekeeping girls were also delightful. Overall a solid choice for a luxury type hotel in Menorca , good value too early October time. I've listed the good & not so good below: The Good- Hotel staff. Pleasant quiet ambience, no loud music or noisy kids! Location. Value for money. Clean and well maintained. The not so good- Main pool is NOT heated...too cold for most guests to use including ourselves. 5 star rated hotels should have heated pools as standard! Sun lounger cushions are a bit grubby. One bottle of water was placed in the room at check in but for rest of our stay no complimentary water was offered, and no water fountains/stations around the resort for guests to hydrate, we had to visit supermarkets daily and purchase our own.
