The refrigerator was not working and the initial response from maintenance was to adjust the controls and have us give it some time. During that time we lost some food. They gave us a mini-fridge to get us by for the remaining days, as it was the weekend and they couldn't get a repair person.

More information could be available in the room to direct people to restaurants, supermarket , bus stops/Taxi numbers. Set in a suburb of the city of Las Palmas in the middle of a residential area it was difficult when we arrived to find somewhere to eat. Added to that was that we arrived on a Sunday night when it’s customary for most places to be closed on a Sunday. If we”d had the info on the bus stops or taxis we could’ve found our way to a restaurant. However the welcome pack of tea & coffee was well received and we discovered the next day with the assistance of Franc at reception how to get to all amenities including the Marina which is only a 15 min walk and has lovely restaurants where we had a lovely meal in Pier 13. Franc also helped us to find our way to the bus stops and the Spar shop which are only a three min walk where you can take a bus for only €1.40 pp anywhere and only a 10 min ride to Santa Catalina and the beautiful beach of Castillos where you will find loads of restaurants/bars on the strip. We would recommend that a small clothes rack be attached to the wall of the patio to hang out wet togs and towels.
