We have been coming to Pilar for 15 years. For us the location was fine as we don’t mind the walk into Pilar to the fabulous restaurants. There are plenty to choose from. I can recommend lots. The supermarket was about 1/2 mile which was also okay as the host left a shopping trolley on wheels(a fabulous thought). It’s a straight road & a brilliant supermarket & very cheap 🙂 The apartment is beautiful & extremely clean. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe space as well. We loved the roof terrace with the views & the outside furniture was lovely & comfy as well. Plenty of utensils & dinner service plates if you prefer to stay at home 🙂

To be improved

The only negative thing for us was that one of the access gates was locked by a resident with a bike lock, which we then couldn’t use as he only had the key. The company did not rectify this for us despite several emails & said they couldn’t do anything about it. There is another gate but it wasn’t convenient when you get a taxi to & from the airport & the driver didn’t know. I wasn’t happy about having only one access. The ceiling fan did not work or the other stand up fan so you had to use more air conditioning. This would incur an extra bill if you didn’t keep to the electric allowance. So keep an eye on the metre readings. The company did say that the owner would be informed but couldn’t get another one for us whilst we were there.
