“Apparently, I did not actually stay at the hotel”
The hotel itself is nice.
We were travelling with another group that had reservations at the same hotel (they had 3 rooms booked). The hostess for some reason did not find my reservation in the system, even though I gave her my passport, and gave me one of the rooms booked for one of the guests in the other group, since we were all apparently together. Due to that, two of the guests in the other group had to share a room. We were very tired from our trip and did not think to question this at the time. I only found out this issue when I received a message from booking.com asking if I had stayed at the hotel. Attempts to contact the hotel to request answers and a refund were met with a blunt "we have no record of your stay at our hotel". Requests to check again, to talk to the hostess who met us were ignored and not answered. Neither did we receive an answer from booking.com about this issue. So I cannot recommend this hotel, they are not customer-oriented. The facilities may be nice, but this unwillingness to admit to a mistake is just unacceptable.

The room and location are absolutely perfect!! We would certainly keep coming back. Would highly recommend.
Customer welcome could be better. Fantastic place, “some” of the younger staff on reception require customer service training. Not a particularly welcoming experience for a returning guest. Not sure what the walnuts are all about if you don’t provide a nut cracker!!

My husband booked a dog friendly room as we travelling with our very small dog. We checked in at reception I was carrying my dog and they saw him. at this point everything was ok, we was shown to our room which was lovely, my husband received a phone call at 10pm from reception saying they wasn’t aware of the dog and we was in the wrong room and they was going to move us then we was told they didn’t have a dog friendly room available and they would be checking the room in the morning for any damage the dog might do. None of this was mentioned when we checked in which made my husband and I feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. I got up at 5am to take my dog to the toilet the night staff was asleep on the sofa and was quite rude because I had disturbed him. Last time we stayed there they damaged my husband Bentley and it was never resolved
