“Exceptional”
Old, nice refurbished village house. Extremely nice place, surely an accomodation highlight. Perfect dinner in addition.
“Perfect place to escape and re-charge”
Peaceful, very comfortable but beautifully simple accommodation in an unspoiled Alpujarran village, with fabulous open views across the valley to the sea. A perfect place to unwind and re-charge with delicious breakfast and exceptional dinners. Congratulations to Emma and David for creating such a lovely experience and assembling such a welcoming team.
“Little gem in the Alpujarras”
Las Chimeneas is a quaint "guest house/casa rural" in a beautiful mountainous village setting. When we visited en route to Granada, it was very quiet and peaceful. Emma and David, the owners, were away. However, Sasker gave us a very warm welcome, chatted about the area, and showed us around and to our room. Our room had a small private balcony and a wonderful view. There is an honesty bar and tea coffee facilities. The 3 course evening meal was hosted and served by Erna in the little restaurant ( wonderful view) at a cost of 30€ each. It was amazing food and cooked to perfection by one of the local chefs. (Better than any meal we subsequently had in Granada and on a par price wise) There were also books, maps, guides, and local produce to purchase. I had a dip in the small pool first thing in the morning, coffee on the balcony, and a good breakfast served in the restaurant. Both Erna and Sasker have a wealth of local knowledge, and nothing seemed too much trouble. A fabulous little place and a very warm welcome.
A minor call, the door hinges to our room and cupboard need oiling. A larger bed would have been nice but not essential as hubby is 6' 3"
“Exceptional”
This place is a true hidden gem - just perfect. The views are breathtaking, the food is excellent, and the room was spotless. David and the entire staff welcomed us in the most wonderful way, even though we booked last minute and arrived quite late. Truly an unforgettable place. Thank you!
