Very noisy outside to late in the night

As we arrived in the middle of the night, we couldn't do anything about the fact that in the kitchen which is directly connected with bedroom there are cockroaches, which appear in the night when the lights are off (unfortunately I had the same situation in one of my apartment in the past), usually on the worktop. You can barely see them during the night, but as it was dark, we are unlucky to see them in the night time (also on teh back of the bed). Moreover the apartment is loud - we heard noises coming from outside from early moring after sleepless night (cleaning service). The landlor after reporting this didn't do anything about it and told me to speak with booking. We obviously left this place next day without staying for the second night. We only received the refund from booking for the secon night, the owner didnt make refund after the first night. It was really bad 1st night experience after arriving to Tenerife.

There were some small bugs when we got there but we managed to take care of it. Didn't affect our stay. The owner respondend quickly.

Communicating with the host was a mess. As indicated in the info, check-in was at 4 pm and someone would meet us in front of the property. When 4 pm came around, the host wasn't there, so I told them I was in front of the property via message in booking. Long story short: the host was a no show and wouldn't answer the phone for a full hour. In the end they called me at 5 pm saying that she didn't have service, which is just not acceptable.

Due to the shape of the apartment, there is little that can be done to improve it. The sofa is not suitable for sleeping, even for children. I encourage the owner to hire a better cleaning service. The bedding was not washed but somewhat refreshed.
