“Disappointed. Not worth the price”
Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price Unfortunately, our stay at the Leonardo Hotel in Barcelona was somewhat disappointing and not great value for money given what's on offer. The rooms and hallways were uncomfortably hot throughout our stay, and the room itself felt quite dated and in need of a refresh. For the price point, we expected a much higher standard. Breakfast, while offering an impressively wide selection, comes at an extortionate cost that is simply not justified. We'd strongly recommend seeking out one of Barcelona's many excellent local cafés instead. To make matters worse, check-in was a painfully slow process with an excessively long wait, seemingly due to insufficient staffing levels. Visiting over Easter weekend, a busy holiday period, you would expect the hotel to be adequately prepared – unfortunately that was not the case. Overall, we would not recommend the Leonardo Hotel Barcelona. There are far better options in the city that offer more comfort and value for your money.
“Good hotel”
Friendly reception staff. The staff at breakfast are very friendly Good variety at breakfast. Room is clean, nice design in bathroom. Good space and design in the room. Well situated 10 -15 mins walk from the beach. Lovely view from dining room in the evening. There was a noise from renovation work currently ongoing which disturbed our sleep ( hence 4 star) but hopefully this will be completed soon.
“Customer service lets it down.”
The hotel itself is nice wouldn’t be raving on about it the customer service really lets it down to be honest. the room we paid for was junior suite basic enough it’s nice but wouldn’t think it was amazing, the views from the room was lovely . The reception staff aren’t friendly or helpful at all! When you ask them a question the eye rolling, smart remarks , speaking to each other in their own language sniggering and laughing really makes you feel uncomfortable. Eveything we asked Victoria was like an issue and smart remark. Pool bar is nice, drinks were lovely and prices were good. Note you can’t bring a few crisps to the pool or your own drinks etc the staff are very strict about this coming over to remind you etc.. swimming pool is closed but you are able to sit around it. Luckily the weather was lovely for our stay and it was enjoyable. Gorgeous beach across the road and a stunning hotel called Sbhotels with the most amazing spa the hotel did recommend this to us. Things to note Area about 20 mins in a taxi to the city centre. Lovely shopping centre across the road from hotel loads of food outlets. Book direct get hotel cheaper. But be warned It says free upgrade if available, late check out etc don’t hold your breath no early check in whatsoever, no free upgrade and late check out was one hour etc. check out is 12 and they gave it till 1pm and the hotel isn’t busy atall. Overall average hotel.
“Basic hotel that is priced like a luxury hotel”
Basic hotel that is priced like a luxury hotel Just a basic room as you would expect paying £95 in barcelona, except that it cost me over 250 per night... Homeless sleeping directly outside hotel Beach in front is crap and has a construction site in front of it Dead area with nothing going on
“Nice”
Location was it was not ideal for tourists for business trips it is perfect. It is next to Diagonal Mar. The room was big and clean. Bathroom was nice. Bed was comfy. Staff was very good. Tamara helped us for all of our questions.
“Hotel needs some refurbishment”
This is definitely not 4* accommodation. The rooms were very "tired" with wallpaper peeling away from the walls, some holes in the curtains and the beds were rickety and uncomfortable. The photos made the pool are look much bigger than it was. On the plus side, the location was within walking distance of the beach, with some lovely places to eat nearby and a mall opposite. The breakfast was lovely with a very good range of hot and cold food and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
