changed our room day before, ongoing building work never told about, never anyone around to get a drink. Bar closes at 10pm. Staff hardly spoke any english atall, room dark and small Bathroom is a death trap My husband of 17 stone slipped in the shower as like glass and really hurt himself POOR

The best

Excellent room, very big and spacious. Amazing location and very central. The gardens and courtyard were lovely and a very nice feel.

To be improved

Due to the renovations the noise on one morning was very early and woke us up with drilling and banging.

Really liked the Terrace and outdoor area. Excellent breakfast and the outdoor spa was great!

“Get a jacuzzi suite!”

A strange place to review. Many amazing elements and a few entirely perplexing ones. Pro: - Incredibly friendly staff - stunning renovation - great decor in the public areas - super location - free parking (3-7 minutes walk away) - excellent breakfast - the mirador jacuzzi suite has a private balcony with a private jacuzzi and beautiful views - very comfortable bed - dressing gowns for use Cons: - no natural light in the suite, other than the bedroom, and that window is small - very noisy airco - impractical furniture (no bedside tables, no desk, no chair in bedroom, no wardrobe in bedroom) - too much furniture in the living room - no sink in the toilet. The sink is in the living room - the shower is in the living room - there are three doors between the bed and the hall on the hotel floor. All are glass. They refract the light that beams directly into the first door. It's never dark in the bedroom. - one silly but unnecessarily annoying thing. The free welcome drink cards had pictures of cava and cocktails. But you were only allowed beer and soft drinks. It would be easy to add what you're entitled to on the card. The jacuzzi, breakfast and staff make this a 4-star hotel, otherwise I'd be tempted with a 3-star review. Get a jacuzzi suite!

“Very satisfied with the stay with a single bad experience for breakfast”

The location of the Hotel is the reason that made me return, I had already stayed there once before. The renovations in the lobby are beautiful. The hotel in general is great, the room is quite large, beds are comfortable and the garden is lovely. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

To be improved

The room did not have night stands or any table or desk, there are a couple of small shelves but definitely not enough. The worst part of the whole experience was breakfast. First, we were asked to seat in any table that didn't have a table cloth (there were 3 of them). We chose one near the window and the person in charge told us that was a table for 4 we needed to move to another one. The table she put us in was also for 4 but it only had 2 dishes. The table was next to a leakage from the air conditioning and water was spilling on us. We told her and she didn't accept to change us to a different table. We told the supervisor and she also insisted we could not use a table for 4 and had to remain there. In the end we had to put a napkin to absorb the water a bit. The table we had chosen in the beginning remained unused for the rest of the time we were in the restaurant. Besides, the resupply of breakfast food was too slow, when we arrived there was no cheese, no fruit, no milk. Definitely not the best. The only thing good about the whole breakfast experience were the scrambled eggs, those were great.

- Due to renovations at the hotel, drilling and banging began at 08:30 - ‘Bar area’ is not a bar, it is a sitting area not manned by staff. Had to ask someone from the restaurant for a drink
