Lets in the Sun Playa Fontanilla Apartment

The balcony is cute but a bit cramped and kinda smelt of fumes so not really a place to sit for long. Also it’s kinda dark, it doesn’t seem to get much light. But that’s not a big issue. We were glad to have booked a taxi through the host so our taxi driver had picked up the key for us in Mijas because honestly that’s a ridiculous idea to make people go to a complete different town to pick up the key. I usually stay closer to the old town in Marbella so I did find this area , while beautiful and less manic , just a bit too much of a trek to decent restaurants. Nowhere special to eat around this area tbh. But if you want a bit of distance from crowds then it’s perfect.

Lack of nice seating around pool area. Would have spent more time there if this was the case. Also really faffy key process upon arrival. Fine if you’re happy spending more on a taxi but not great for public transport.

At the time of my visit the swimming pool was not in use due to cleaning. This information should be included and maybe price reduced.

There was only one key provided and it is needed to enter AND exit the complex. This is extremely restrictive if you are more than one person. I emailed the host numerous times for a second key but never got any reply. That was really disappointing and did impact the trip. Key collection 25/30mins drive away from the apartment is awkward and seems unnecessary if a lock box could be used on location.

It was hard for the Uber drivers to find the office. We had been dropped off at wrong locations twice, until could find the office by foot, using Google Maps and then call for the third taxi.. Also, could not find any signs for the apartment building. We had to walk around a lot, until a near by cafe worker helped us.
