Liberty Apartment

- The apartment was not clean enough. - The manual keys for the apartment door and the building entrance do not work well. - The sofa was dirty and its legs were twisted, so I fixed it myself so the children could sleep on it. - There is no air conditioning in the bedrooms. There are no blankets.

The check-in: The hosts insisted on an online checkin, which entailed entering sensitive private information in an online form provided by a private company (ICNEA) - this constitutes a gross violation of our privacy. Also opening the door for the first time required us to install an app on the smartphone, which is also a violation of privacy - I have no idea what kind of data the app may have harvested from my device, nor what will happen to the data in the future. Had I known the check-in would look like this, I never would have stayed at Liberty Apartment, however I only learned about the required privacy violations when it wa too late to cancel and I would have to lose the entire sum of money I had already payed for the stay. The apartment: The overall cleanliness was OK-ish, however the apartment lacked some basic amenities. There were no dishwasher tablets and washing machine tablets. It's absurd to expect guests to bring their own supplies for basic cleaning tasks. Additionally, there was an inadequate supply of toilet paper provided. It's unacceptable to skimp on soch a basic necessity. Furthermore, the dysfunctional washing machine only compounded our dissatisfaction. When travelling with small children, a washing machine would have been very useful. Overall, I regret staying at Liberty Apartment - literally the worst travel experience of my entire life.

The property uses a new app system to access the apartment. It would have been helpful to have information in advance to allow us to download this as we were trying to do this in blazing sunshine with no Wi-Fi. Also may prove problematic for people less familiar with technology
