toilets are not clean at all, especially at night and walls are very thin you can hear everything around the room, and you have to pay to get the remote for the fans which we found it weird.

some slats on the ceiling were not fixed, so they rattle in strong winds when the windows are open.

The shared bathrooms were limited only two of the three had toilets, got a little wet and dirty between cleans.

There was no remote for the air conditioning. When we asked for it they told us that they don’t have enough, and they gave us the remote for the fan on the ceiling. When we asked again for the air conditioning remote (they replied 7h later) they asked for 10€ for guarantee. Also, at check in they asked for a Visa card for guarantee (a common practice). However, many things in the apartment and specifically in the common areas, were already broken. Lastly, the room and the sheets were not clean enough and the room had a very strong weird smell like dust or humidity, which wouldn’t go away.

The kitchens and bathrooms were not clean, seemingly never cleaned. The single rooms at least were adapted with the cheapest thinnest hardboard. You will literally hear every breath or word in the kitchen, which is shared with about 8 other rooms & often busy. The breakfast in other hotel was better, though still overcrowded & struggling to cope. Coffee only from machines which kept breaking down. Stressful. Nice views though. Madrid can be a reasonably priced city still esp with no frills, & in future I'll stick with a small guesthouse in the Chueca district, & sleep better & be charged less. Oh, & it is inexcusable to refuse to accommodate luggage for a few hours after departure. I've never been refused this. There's so much space in the building!
