The best

The owner was attentive and accessible. Air conditioning units (two of them!) worked well, which was a lifesaver during the extreme heat of Cáceres that week. Beds were very comfortable; mattresses and pillows in bigger beds were high quality and comfortable. Wi-Fi was stable and worked well. The area was quiet and safe and the apartment complex had a secured entry gate. Main door and lock were very safe. The pool water was clean and the area had four lounge chairs and two big umbrellas. Because the complex backed into a green area with some running water, there was a lot of bird activity, including an inspired finch with a pleasant song. The unit was a 10 min. uphill walk from the historic center of Cáceres.

To be improved

It would have been a nice gesture to have turned the A/C before we arrived. It was very hot when we arrived and it took quite a long time to cool the unit off. The apartment had sufficient toilet paper and paper towels, but it had very few plates and glasses. Upstairs sink was clogged and did not drain well. The bigger bed was in the loft and if the apartment were to be shared by two couples, there would be no sense of privacy in that space. Street parking was scarce and mostly in the sun on 35-39°C days. TV cable was finicky and lost signal frequently. Pool area was full of mouse droppings. And the apartment had a sewer smell we could not pinpoint; noticeable, but not overpowering.

Great location for us - a 10 minute walk to the old town and Plaza Major but with easy parking outside. The apartment was well laid out and equipped - spacious for two of us. Responsive team when we needed anything.

To be improved

Although we were aware that the pool was closed we were disappointed that we were unable to use the terrace to relax - we particularly wanted an outdoor area to enjoy the lovely sunshine.

Lots of space with two bathrooms. Free parking on the road outside. Quiet location. Stylish design and use of space

Probably because we were out of season, facilities needed some maintenance: no dishwasher tabs but no tea towel either; towels smelled of damp; knives wouldn't cut veg; water v slow to drain; couldn't find the washing machine which was on a balcony outside; downs tairs bed had v noisy springs when you turned over
