“Exceptional”

The best

If you want to spend time in the middle of nowhere, this is the place. Beautiful big house, clean, well equipped, with airco, lovely views. And the swimming pool-small Paradiso sourranded by the palm trees. The host was very nice and helpfull. If I was to claim 1 thing I missed it would be sunbeds. In general-place to be reccomended, pictures from booking.com reflect reality.

The best

It was immaculately clean throughout. The air-con is brand new and brilliant!! Pool is a very good size. Outside patio is very big you can fit a lot of people onto that area! Owners very pleasant and helpful!

To be improved

Although the pool was well kept and clean, there are no sun loungers. There was also a lot of wasps around the pool and outside the house.

“Fantastic get away from it all, in the real Spain.”

The best

Loved that it was rural, away from the hustle and bustle but not too far away if we wanted a beach area (45mins)or just 20mins to the next town. If you want the REAL Spanish culture, then this is your thing! There are about 2/3other houses for rental There, and we met quite a few Spanish people staying for weekends or a couple of days, we learnt more Spanish, and they in turn learnt a few English words...fantastic get away from it all! The house is just 5mins from the picturesque town of Casarabonela,with its narrow, winding streets,with white washed houses. The house is deep in the Olive/fruit groves. The only sounds you hear are the chickens, farmers, and the groundsman every night to look after all the plants., and the occasional dog barking...nothing else but peace! We loved it! X

To be improved

You need to take a kettle and an iron! We asked for them via Booking.com, and nothing was too much trouble, within hours we had an iron, and teapots, so we had to use a pan on the hob to heat water, which is no problem, it just takes longer! They don't speak English at all as it says, so a little Spanish will help! Also, the hot tub advertised isnt one outside, its a jacuzzi bath in one of the bathrooms, which was just as good, and a welcome relief from the day at 40°! I would like to "suggest" some sun loungers for around the pool,as the only outdoor furniture was the patio chairs around our outdoor dining table, and also some handrails on the pool steps. The 1st step was quite a large step in/out, and as I've mobility issues it caused me issues, (had an accident getting out) There is quite a few steps around the house/outside area to the pool, which it didn't say, so don't expect any flat areas.
