The next door neighbour made our stay very challenging. We travelled as a family with our 3 children who are 11yrs, 8yrs and 7yrs. They are not particularly noisy children, however if they made the slightest noise in the pool the neighbours next door would stare over the fence and shout at them to be quiet. This was during the day and in the early evening hours so not unsociable hours. They did this repeatedly which really spoilt our enjoyment of the pool. They repeatedly said this is a 'silent neighbourhood' so I don't think the property is suitable for families with younger children. We were asked to pay the deposit by international bank transfer instead of cash at the property as advertised. I ended up nearly £20 out of pocket as a result of a change in exchange rates between the time I transferred it and when he returned it back to me. This was not taking into account bank fees. I asked the owner to return the money I have been left out of pocket as it was his decision to use bank transfer instead of cash and he has refused. We have stayed in Air BnBs several times throughout the world and have never been left out of pocket. This was our first time trying booking.com for a holiday property and I think because of this experience it will be our last.
