“Beautiful apartment in a good location”
The apartment is beautifully presented, decorated in a classy, chic way, retaining lots of historic features. It has lots of lighting meaning you can adjust it to suit your mood. There are plenty of towels, and extra blankets if needed. The TV with Netflix was a nice surprise. We loved the spacious bathroom. It has a good shower and a beautiful old sink. We appreciated the lovely shampoo, soap and shower gel provided too. The apartment is in a great position. There are several small supermarkets within a few minutes walk, and it's close to Carrer de Blai, a lovely street with lots of tapas/pintxos bars. Xavier has also left his own restaurant and bar recommendations in the apartment if you fancy trying them out. It's only about 7 minutes walk to the nearest Metro station (Parallel or Poble Sec) but to be honest, we walked most places - it's about 20 minutes to La Rambla, similar to the waterfront, and a short distance from Montjuic, worth climbing for the city views! We self-catered all week (apart from going out for drinks and pintxos a few times) and found the kitchen fine for our needs. There's a large fridge and freezer, and adequate pots and pans, etc. The oven is a bit old and 'tired' but functional, and the induction hob works well. There's no washing up bowl (though this may be a Spanish thing!) and no draining board, so more tea towels would have been useful. Xavier was a very helpful host. When we arrived to find the apartment had no corkscrew or coffee pot he immediately said we could buy them and he'd reimburse us. We bought a corkscrew, and he popped round with a coffee pot the following day.
Not a complaint as such, but to be aware - the apartment is cleverly photographed to make it look larger than it is. It's basically 1 room with a separate bathroom (the kitchen is partially partitioned). There's no separate bedroom - to watch TV you sit on the bed. Realistically it comfortably accommodates 2 - it only works for 4 if you have children who go to bed at the same time as you (thankfully ours do!) as there's no separate space to put younger children to bed. The second bed is a pull-out sofa that only just fits in its space. When it's pulled out it blocks the route to the bathroom so you have to climb over it. It worked ok for us, but wouldn't be good for families with younger kids, or for 4 adults. The 'sun terrace' mentioned in the description is not somewhere you can sit, it's an enclosed balcony with sliding windows that open out onto a washing line and the view of a wall opposite. It's fine to provide ventilation and light, but don't assume you'll be sitting there in the sunshine sipping Vermut. My final point is not about the apartment specifically, but about Barcelona. We last visited 7 years ago and I was really shocked by how crowded and expensive it is now. The tourist tax adds a ridiculous amount to what is already expensive accommodation. Gaudi sights such as Sagrada Familia need to be booked days in advance and for our family would have been over £100 (and that's with our youngest child getting in free!). We didn't bother!
“Extraordinary loft for stay in Barca”
Owner is very kind and left keys in box prepared for our late arrival. Loft is build in vintage style, we liked it. Main double bed is good, sofa is double, but not very confortable for long stay. Kitchen is small but clean, bathroom has big shower. Owner offer its personal guide to visit Barca. If you'll arrive late I recommend La Pala Pizza bar.

“Pleasant”
“It was nice 😊”
The apartment is very nice and designed very well. The location is good, metro is near an a lot of good bars too.
Sofa for kids was uncomfortable and it was very loud most of the time from upstair neighbours.
