“Beware of Fraudulent”
Nothing. Fraud
**Title: Beware of Fraudulent Deposit Scam – Avoid Lucky House Apartment** I regret to share my deeply frustrating experience with Lucky House Apartment, which I believe is running a deliberate scam to defraud guests of their security deposits. While the apartment itself *seemed* decent upon arrival, the entire process turned into a nightmare designed to steal money. **The Scam Unfolds:** 1. **Unjust Deposit Demand:** They require a **300 Euro "security deposit" upfront**, claiming it’s to cover potential damages. This felt excessive compared to similar rentals, but I complied, hoping for a smooth stay. 2. **Post-Checkout Fraud:** After checkout, they suddenly accused me of damaging furniture and appliances, sending "proof" via blurry photos of broken items. However, these were clearly old images (note peeling stickers, dust, and mismatched lighting) of pre-existing damage. When I challenged them, they ghosted all communication. 3. **No Transparency:** They refused to provide timestamped photos/videos from *before* my stay, confirming my suspicion that they reuse staged photos to blame guests. **This is a calculated scheme.** They exploit the deposit system by inventing false claims, knowing most travelers won’t fight it across borders. The lack of a proper check-in/check-out inventory or witness makes it easy for them to gaslight guests. **Do NOT stay here.** If you’ve already booked: - **Document everything** with timestamped photos/video upon arrival *and* departure. - **Demand a signed condition report** with staff. - **Dispute charges** if they pull this scam—report them to your bank, booking platform, and local consumer protection agencies. This predatory behavior deserves public exposure. Lucky House Apartment prioritizes scamming guests over honest business. Spread the word—no one else should fall victim to their fraud.
“I would honestly not recommend Lucky House for a stay unless you are three people who can manage with just the main bedr”
I like that it had a private terrace where we could chill and enjoy some quiet time. I also liked that it came with useful things like sunscreen, shampoo, shower gel, kitchen utilities, an iron, and Wi-Fi. It was just a 5-minute walk from the metro and bus stations, which made getting around really easy. I liked that the neighborhood was very calm, and having a supermarket right next to the place was super convenient.
However, there were several things we didn’t like. Although we arrived just 30 minutes later than planned (at 9:30 PM instead of 9:00 PM) and kept in constant contact with the property, we were charged an extra €30, which felt unfair. The apartment was made up of a first floor with a bedroom, open kitchen, living room, and toilet, and a second floor with one room and a terrace. The upper room was very small, had around 90% humidity, a strong smell, and wasn’t connected to the rest of the apartment—so to access the kitchen or toilet, we had to use the shared building stairs. Because of this, we couldn’t use that room and all had to sleep in the lower apartment. Unfortunately, even the lower level had high humidity, which made it uncomfortable to sleep if the windows were closed or the AC was off. Also, all the mattresses were in poor condition—you would sink in the middle, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Lastly, the shower had a drainage issue, and the water would run out onto the bathroom floor, making it messy
“Overall, although there were some minor issues, our stay at the property was very pleasant.”
Personally, I believe the property is excellent for two people, and I would love to come back! We got a very satisfactory property in return for the price we paid. :) Although the location was far from the center, the metro was very easily accessible. We would reach top destinations in half an hour. There were also stores and a supermarket very close, making it simple to buy any products that we need. The hosts were extremely thoughtful and proactive, which made our stay even more enjoyable. A lot of things were taken into consideration, and things like cutlery, plates, pans, hair dryers, an iron, shower gels, shampoos, and even sunscreen were all present. The property itself was relatively spacious, with a nice living room and a separate bedroom. We were only two people, so it felt more easy to walk around. Perhaps there may be some inconveniences if 4 people are present, but that depends on preferences of the guests.
The location did not feel very safe. There were often some groups cat calling near the property at night, so we had to take alternative routes. However, this is not to blame the property, of course. One thing I’d suggest, however, is to fix some of the things in the property. The kitchen hood didn’t turn on, the door to the outside space was a bit broken, and one of the windows didn’t want to lock (which was not too big of an issue due to the presence of outside bars). One other major concern was that during a rain, the outside space started flooding a bit, so I recommend the host to install a simple drainage system. If there already is such, and we didn’t notice it, ensure that it works well so that the property does not get flooded during a rain.
“Bad”
I didn’t like anithing
The apartment was very far from the city, taxi drivers always told us that we need to be careful because the area is dangerous. We didn’t know that. The apartment if far from what is shown in pictures. This apartment ruined our trip. The beds were separated, but you can’t see that on pictures. We find some cockroaches. The toilet was very dirty same as beds. If we knew that the apartment is like that we would never paid those money and stay there. I would much rather add some amount of money and go somewhere else. The woman who is owner was very rude, and when we asked for something for drying our clothes she came to our apartment loudly knocking on our door very fast, and then when we opened the door she gave us hanger for clothes, and she didn’t say anything or smile. It was very weird. Also they asked for deposit of 200€ and the took 215,40€ not like we agreed. The terrace was very dirty and neighbors had too much windows pointed at us, it’s very bad privacy. I would recommend for every couple that goes there to skip this apartment.
