the location was excellent It was self catering. Our host was extremely helpful and gave us lots of useful information. I was taken ill during our stay and he took us to the local hospital, translated (he had excellent English) for me and put my mind at rest.

“A good place for the price you paid”

The best

The host is friendly and non-invasive. He gives useful tips when asked for. The apartment has a nice terrazza with a beautiful view. It's very close to the seashore/port/beach from one side and to the city centre from another. The saloon is comfy. The wifi works great. The bed was OK. The air conditioning works perfectly and silently.

To be improved

The city is a bit noisy and you can hear it (traffic-lift-outside sounds). We both come from a big city so it was not an issue for us, but I can imagine if someone is not used to it, the place could be a little challenging. The kitchen is rather modestly equipped, but we didn't cook too much so it was OK. The shower is tiny and I had a problem fitting in. The terrazza has no umbrella/shade on it so in the morning and till 2PM it is difficult to stay on (we used our umbrella beach to cover), but in the afternoon/evening there is a wall which covers it, so you can stay there and have a nice appetitive with a glass of wine

“Top terrace in fab town”

The best

Perfect location for historical centre, port, and all key attractions of the city; beach 20 mins away. Amazing restaurants and bars 5 mins away. The terrace is the highlight: ideal for meals, snacks, reading and relaxing, with sweeping views across the sea, the port, and the alcazar. We would definitely book this place if in Almeria again. (and unlike previous reviewers, we heard no noise from the lift).

To be improved

Musty aroma in toilet comes and goes, due to aging facilities there; otherwise, shower is good and toilet facilities all fine. Wine glasses would be nice, given the romantic setting of the terrace.
