The best

The hosts of this apartment were amazing and went above and beyond. The pre-visit communication was excellent, they replied to my whatsapp enquiries about various things almost immediately. When we arrived at Alicante airport, the hosts texted us to say they would be waiting at the apartment with the keys to let us in. There was a small welcome pack of some drinks and snacks at the apartment which was a nice touch. The apartment was clean and had absolutely everything we needed. The kitchen and furtniture were modern and there was a dishwasher, fridge and washing machine (which we didn't use) which were all like new and you could tell that the hosts wanted their guests to be comfortable. There was a lovely big tv with access to Netflix which was a bonus. The outside area was comfortable and equipped with a table and chairs and a couple of seats. The location was unbeatable, 2 minutes walk to the beach and restaurants. There is a secure car park adjacent to the property which was good.

To be improved

There was building work going on in the next apartment that started at 8am each morning so no chance of a lie in. In addition to that, on our last night, at 12.45am, workmen started digging the road up outside the apartment. We obviously do not hold our hosts responsible for this at all. Just unfortunate. There is all amenities except an iron at the property. There were 4 of us and the last one to shower each morning had to have a cool shower. Not sure why, it wasn't a big deal. Even though there was a pool at the property, it was situated pretty much in the car park with no sunbeds around and no chairs to take from the apartment. So to be aware if you want to sit by the pool, it would need to be on a towel on the ground. If this had been summer, I would have been very disappointed. As it happened, we were there a week and the sun only came out once! The car park and back entrance to the property was a little tricky to find initially. There are a few security codes and keys to the property but once you get used to which code and key opened which door, it was fine.
