“A Nice Rental”

The best

Nice location, walkable to many attractions but a nice buffer from the tourist-driven craziness. The property has several nice touches, such as providing conveniences such as basic kitchen needs like spices and cooking oils, reusable grocery bags, and an adapter for the outlets.

To be improved

The water temperature in one of the showers would vacillate between hot and cold and we gave up on using it. While I'm sure the property square footage is accurate, a good chunk of it is an exceptionally long hallway and the unit is not as spacious as the square footage suggests. The host provided the Wi-Fi password at check-in, but it was the incorrect password - while these mistakes happen, we contacted the host during business hours that afternoon and did not receive a response. It was only after we sent a second message the next day that we received a response with the corrected password. Lastly, I'd agree with a prior reviewer that while the property is marketed as "luxury", that is an inaccurate characterization. It's a nice, comfortable rental but I would not consider it luxury.

“Superb”

The best

A spacious apartment with a perfect location - just a block away from the busiest streets of the area (Rambla de Catalunya and Passeig de Gracia). Metro station and bus stops right nearby, shops and restaurants all around, clean and safe. The apartment was very well equipped down to details one wouldn't expect (i.e wheeler shopping bag, umbrellas, make-up removal tissues etc). Every room has individual AC, so must be really comfortable during the hot season. Complementary juice, water and milk in the fridge, basics like salt/pepper, sugar, tea and coffee awaiting, the kitchen was indeed well equipped with everything necessary. The terrace is a nice sitting area, which also features a children's table and chairs + a selection of board games. The host was very friendly, welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home already during check-in.

To be improved

We couldn't quite figure out how to get the hot water running steadily in the shower, but maybe this was just a temporary issue.
