“EXCELLENT STAY”
Great location, close to excellent restaurants and good shopping, with easy access to metro and train stations. Carolina is a very friendly, accommodating and welcoming host.

“Lovely studio flat in central Madrid”
The location was excellent. The studio flat was smart and comfortable with a very good shower and lovely soft towels. It was spacious enough for a couple.
Everything was very good but a chopping board, small kitchen knife, and microwave oven would have been useful.
“Fit for purpose, pleasant and I would be happy to stay there again.”
I was a bit disconcerted to hear that the reception personnel were not responsible for the property - I had booked this place specifically for the 24 hour desk. I was informed that booking.com apartments within the building were not under their control. However, whenever I needed help they gave me it and were always courteous and obliging. The apartment is small, the cooking area was tiny, but it was reasonably well equipped. (There wasn't a frying pan, which seemed to me essential. I actually went out and bought one, which I left there, so hope future guests will appreciate that it is there!) Although small everything was bright and clean so I didn't feel too closed in. There was a good supply of towels. And I appreciated that the curtains really kept out the light so sleeping was no problem.
I didn't like that, although there was a cleaning fee included, no-one came to clean the room in the 9 days I was there. Cleaning materials were supplied! There were other apartments in the building that were cleaned every day by cleaning staff. It seems that the fee was for cleaning BEFORE I arrived - which surely would be no more than a guest would expect? And supposedly a second time for cleaning the room AFTER I left - which would not in fact be a second time; it would be the same cleaning! Usually I do leave the place as I found it but this time, as I had a very early flight, and as I felt I had paid for it, I allowed myself the luxury of not tidying up.
“Hardly a luxury apmt though in a upscale neighbourhood in Recoletos/Acala”
Relatively inexpensive rates for acom in that location. Clean/tidy apmt with all essential facilities as stated. Though washers and driers are in a shared laundry room outside the apmt, the large drums did its job properly in utterly inexpensive rates. Given our stay for 4 nights, we had to ask for an extra set of towels for each adult (for hygiene). it was delivered on the next day.
1. loud/noisy central aircond (with no volume control) at night, almost compatible with the same on airplane re noise level. 2. noisy fridge emitting "errr" sound when compressor runs, as if an amplifier was turned on to level 5 to 6 with no audio input. 3. only 1 set of towel was provided (for 2 adults) when we checked in. Took more than 2 hours for host to respond and deliver the required set. They presented a bottle of wine for the inconvenience caused though we did not consume. 4. after checking out, it was communicated that there was a situation on the duvet that might have been due to ironing. We responded that the iron had not been used at all during our stay and thus cannot be responsible for the duvet situation. 5. while there are 4 lifts in the entire apmt, only 1 was fully automatic (probably from the 80s). 3 lifts were small and the lift doors could only close when the floor door was closed properly. Thus, those were slower and sometimes it seemed it was stationery on certain floors. In addition, the leftmost small lift was dedicated to construction workers (during our stay) working on massive renovations in room 301, 302. We happened to be staying on that same floor.
