Luxury Villa in Marbella, Sea & Golf Views, Fully Renovated 2025, private Garden, 5 min to Beach

My recent vacation rental experience was far from ideal. The house was located quite far from Porto Banus and other tourist hotspots, making it inconvenient for our plans. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an unpleasant smell, indicating that the house hadn't been aired out in quite some time. To our surprise, there was a camera placed in the middle of the living room, which wasn't mentioned in the description and made us feel uncomfortable regarding our privacy. We didn’t know if there is more cameras somewhere else. Additionally, despite booking through Booking.com, where we expected to have full access to the property, we found room and wardrobes locked with padlocks, leaving us uneasy about the unknown contents inside. The cleanliness was also lacking, as ants were crawling around, even on the bed. To top it off, we were startled awake by a malfunctioning alarm during early morning . Although the host provided instructions to mute the sound, it added to our frustrations. Transportation was another hassle, as the villa was located deep within a compound with no direct road access, requiring a car for any outings and leaving us stranded in a remote area. This was particularly disappointing after enjoying much better accommodations throughout our travels in southern Spain. Ultimately, we decided to leave a day early due to our discomfort and frustration. When we inquired about a refund for the unused night, the host understood our situation but declined our request, suggesting we could leave immediately if we wished. Overall, this rental experience was a disappointing end to what had been a wonderful trip.
