“Location · Cons: The apartment was not ready when we arrived. We had to stay the first night in a filthy room used by the previous guests. Owner said he would refund the first night due to the upsetting circumstances. It has been almost 2 months and no refund. Owner said to just wait for booking.com; however, booking.com does not respond.”

“Superb”

The best

Easy to access apartment, close to the Atocha railway station, the Prado museum and the old town. We were travelling as two couples so we appreciated the possibility of having bedrooms on two ends of the flat and two separate bathrooms. Small but well equipped kitchen was good enough - we didn't need to cook, there were a lot of restaurants nearby. Access via digital lock with a code number, but there was also a key available. Good wifi and tv-set with a possibility of mirroring the smartphone screen. A few, easy to use, storages nearby to store the luggage after the checkout.

“3 night stay”

The best

Very clean apartment. Very comfortable cosy beds (with actual proper duvets not just sheets!) and plenty of hangers in the wardrobe. Lovely modern bathrooms with decent showers, hairdryers, lit mirrors. and it's in a great location. Ignacio the host was friendly and explained clearly how to access the apartment.

To be improved

The kitchen could use a chopping board and some larger knives for food preparation. But we made do for our visit.

Looked oldish and not very clean. At the ground floor during night was cold and humid. There is only one windows that look the road, the other are all internal and since they are old windows they don’t protect from the cold. In the morning and at night every kind of noise, especially the works in another apartment early in the morning till late evening. The washing machine provoked a dirt leaking from the shower that smelled because it remained in the shower tray. The owner did not respond to my email request (as indicated) about heating and what to do with the shower.
