I stayed here with some friends for a workcation and am very confused about who is making choices about this rental. There were no desks in our unit (all three of us crowded onto the dining table), so I would've assumed the point was to see the city—but it's easily an hour by public transit into central Madrid. Maybe the point is to relax in the apartment—but the TVs aren't actually connected to any channels and the kitchen is so poorly equipped as to be near useless. There are bunk beds, but no interior doors lock (and the ones to the downstairs bathroom and master bedroom don't even latch shut), so I can't imagine travelling with small children here. Two out of three bedrooms have no windows, which isn't a good experience. Someone met us (belatedly) when we arrived but our hot water was still turned off when we got there, so I didn't feel like they actually expected this place to be used. (It also turned off randomly at another time during our stay.) We ended up watching movies in the living room a few nights and were notified via WhatsApp that our neighbors were making noise complaints just because we had the TV on past 10pm.

Property very far from city centre. Property needs upgrading & fixing. Minimal utensils in the kitchen, no proper cleaning supplies. Soap bottles were filled with water, bulbs missing in the lights, carpet very dirty, shower curtain very dirty.

This was my first time using this platform, I normally only use Airbnb and have a high rating. I contemplated posting anything but my experience still bugs me and I need to share it. We booked this after my daughters wedding as all 8 of us could stay together I knew there was a key charge however, it is normally always done through the same process I booked the room and then refunded when we check-out. They had a small machine this time for the key and I thought that was weird, I did not have a choice but to put the deposit on my card, this was my first red flag. Then we ran into sleeping arrangement issues. The couch was supposed to have a pullout for 2 people, it was removed and bunk beds the top was unusable, the top one was flimsy and looked like it was going to collapse, it also did not have the correct ladder so you couldnt climb up anyway. We were down a spot for 3 people, they dropped off 1 single cot and it took up the usable space and offered no type of compensation. Our bed sheets were not clean, there were public hairs on them, I have never been so grossed out in my life. They left the sheets on the bed for me to change, considering we were down 3 places for people to sleep you think they would go out of their way to make it right, they didnt. Instead, they didn't like I complained and received a "noise complaint" at 10:30 at night. This complaint came from checking to see if the door was locked from the outside (it seems like it is not locked from the inside) however, we checked this at 9:30pm, the kids were already in bed. There was a party with rave music however both the Friday and Saturday night from the neighbour's from 3 in the morning until around d 8:00am so the noise complaints were made up. Before we left, we cleaned up the place, took the sheets off and put the towels in the tub, I took pictures of everything before we left due to previous pettiness.
