Magda Oasis in Malaga

The location is a bit far for walking to the centre especially when it’s hot. Ride share is also very expensive so not sure the location is practical. May be best for a young couple. Apartment is on the third floor of a building. Stairs are long and narrow. This could be problematic for some. Many things are closed in the area on the weekend so had some difficulty finding a spot to have dinner without taking an uber into the centre. Parking is impossible to find if you are driving. The entrance had a smell of dirty water - not host’s fault but was very noticeable upon entry.

We had a disappointing experience with this accommodation. Despite informing the host of our estimated arrival time while taking a cab from the airport, she arrived late for our check-in. We selected this apartment based on the pictures and the advertised soundproof walls, even though it had limited reviews. However, after checking in, we experienced significant noise from the neighbors, lasting until 1 AM and starting again at 5 AM, which made it impossible to rest properly. Additionally, the interior of the building had a strong smell of urine and weed, which made the overall environment very unpleasant. Due to these issues, we decided to find alternative accommodation. We raised these concerns with the landlord but were unable to reach a resolution. When we later requested compensation, the landlord initially misrepresented the reason for our departure to Booking.com, first stating that we had changed our plans and then later claiming we had canceled without showing up. Unfortunately, our experience did not match the expectations set by the listing, and we would not recommend this accommodation for those seeking a quiet and well-managed stay.
