Magic view facing MontanaRoja

I arrived later than expected. I kept the owner updated throughout the journey. Initially, I said I’d arrive between 17:00 and 18:00, but it ended up being 19:00. That’s annoying, I know, but what happened next was—to put it mildly—a bit over the top. Giorgo was furious—yelling, throwing things, and threatening to cancel my stay—while I stood there in shock. Then, he suddenly switched to being overly nice, asking why I looked "like that." I told him it was because he had just yelled at me like a crazy person. He later apologized for his behavior, explained that tourists "ruin his life," and offered a trip to Montana Roja and a free ride to the airport, which, I suppose, was a nice gesture. I initially agreed, but later that night, he came home very late, probably drunk, and was extremely noisy. The noise continued the next morning at 6 am. As a result, I couldn’t sleep, so I skipped the walk and made my way to the airport on my own. He clearly has serious anger issues and lacks self-control. I think future guests should be made aware of this. Unfortunately, I didn’t check the reviews beforehand, which led to a rather exhausting last night before a long journey home.

The house was dirty, with the smell of cigarettes everywhere. The bathroom doors didn’t close, and the bedding wasn’t clean. The host just left an uncovered duvet for us, which was half-wet and smelled of bleach, obviously trying to clean something from the previous guests. We ended up sleeping in our sleeping bags on the bed. The weirdest place we've ever stayed.

First off, it’s not clear from the description that it’s actually a room within a house, shared with the owner. The owner did not provide check-in information in advance and did not offer enough flexibility about arrival times. When I arrived in the property, he smelled of alcohol and was raising his voice because “it was too windy and I had to be careful with the door”. The kitchen area was very untidy and it was overall not clean. The only semi-decent area was the room itself, but I did not feel safe staying there as a solo female. I left the place as soon as I got there. I wish I had known all of this before wasting over 120 euros for two nights there…
