We booked a room during the Running of the Bulls. Naturally, the room was more expensive at this time. It usually sells for around $150/night. We paid over $800/night. But much to our surprise, when we arrived (we were in a hurry to meet another couple in town), we walked into our room and was shocked. It was so much smaller than we thought we had purchased. That evening upon our return, we indeed checked what we booked and saw that they had put us in a far inferior room. Two people could not pass each other. The bathroom was so small, the doorstop was literally where your feet are at the toilet. There was no closet space. There was a view of an old building (no city view or patio as the listing stated). We complained first thing the next morning, and they immediately moved us to another room...which was the one that we had booked. But we had to stop and move everything to a new room. It took several trips. This was not how we wanted to spend our time in Pamplona. We met with the hotel manager to tell her our disappointment and stated that we would like a partial refund for the first night as that was not the room we had booked, and for all the inconvenience. She refused. We are now taking this up with booking.com as we think paying over $800 for a $150 room which did not even meet its description warrants a partial refund for the first night.

We have stayed here almost every year since 2010 except for covid, amazing hotel and staff, location is spot on, safe secure parking for the motorbikes.

Staff very helpful, room quiet and comfortable with bath - always welcome in the Camino! Lovely little cafe at end of street for breakfast and lunch.

It had an internal looking window. Chimes from cathedral! Food service was completely understaffed causing long wait, food basic.
