“Lokalization · Cons: First of all, we were given a different room than the one we originally booked-this change was made at the very last minute without proper explanation. Secondly, I had been informed that smoking on the balcony was allowed, but I was later fined for doing so. Lastly, I made sure to leave the apartment clean. I even took the time to clean up after myself, only leaving garbage bags behind because there were no clear instructions on where to dispose of them. Despite that, I was fined again, Ironically, I could have just left a mess like some guests apparently do, and it wouldn't have made a difference-but I chose to be respectful and still ended up penalized. .”

“Fab appartment with all amenities and close enough to main Malaga area”

Location was great very easy walk to the old town. Spacious appt, very clean with everything we needed. Would return and recommend

Location is superb, the apartment is clean and big, and the staff (Lara) is so lovely to deal with. My wife and kids really enjoyed our stay

“Bitter taste due to host's money insecurity”

No communication on payment options - the money just got taken from the default card that was on Booking.com. Not happy with how the host manages the booking payment and free cancellation. A payment for the first night was made a couple of days after the booking for 1 night (booked 3 nights total for a month ahead). This incurred bank charges due to the different currency as out bank is in the Uk with GBP. If we were to be refunded through the free cancellation option, the money coming in would most likely also be subject to additional bank charges. So NOT free cancellation if you're not using a bank account in Euro. Upon arrival to receive the keys and me asking when to pay for the remaining sum when leaving the apartment, we were told that the money had already been taken out of the same card, which is the one Booking,com needs to secure bookings, but not necessarily the one that the customer will use to pay off for the stay. This incurred further charges, even though we had planned to pay the remaining amount with Revolut and much better exchange rates through the app than the one our bank gave on the day of that transaction. They say they always do this, so be prepared for additional expenses through foreign currency exchange charges if not an account in Euros. I'd prefer to have used these wasted money on a few tapas in the city...
