MalagadeVacaciones - La mar salada

The flat is located in a very modest building, with weathered, peeling paint and rusting metal. We passed in front of a door which was locked with what looked like a huge bike lock - not something that contributed to make us feel safe. The flat itself was smelly, the walls had several stains and the terrace was rusty and unsafe for young children. The building in front is in very poor conditions, definitely not a good view. We had booked the flat for 5 nights (and paid everything in advance at the end of February, 900 EUR) but we left immediately as we stepped in. My main criticism is the very poor value for money. I choose this flat also because of its (rather high) price in comparison to others. I could see that it was not big but - based on its price - I was expecting a modern flat in a well-kept building. It is in front of La Malagueta and location seems to be the only justification to such a high price (high for what you get - don’t forget it was the beginning of March, so not high season). As I mentioned, we did not spend a single night there and rushed to a hotel with private beach and plenty of services (gym, kids club…) for the SAME price (unbelievable). On a final note, we were also unimpressed with the surroundings. I am sure La Malagueta is really nice during the summer, but when we were there at the beginning of March the area was deserted and the beach playground one can see in the photos (also a reason for us to choose the flat) non-accessible.
