The lock on the door to the apartment did not work properly. . There was no WiFi.

I did not like the fact that the key pickup was about a 10-15 minute walk away from where I was staying. To provide context, I was backpacking my way through a couple of countries and Spain was the last leg of my trip. I was traveling in the month of July and Malaga in particular, while not as hot as Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona, Rome, etc., was still very hot. I have everything in my backpack as I was not sure that all the places I that was staying in different countries could accommodate large luggage with wheels and so all the weight is obviously on my body. So you become strong and tough it out after your feet hurt from walking for so long, after carrying that weight every now and then in order to fit your budget by avoiding to take Ubers. Suffice to say, you get to your hotel wanting to just set your bags down, but finding out that you'd have to walk some more just to grab some keys was not a fun experience. I am sure that peoples experience will be different from mine and the hosts, as I said, were fantastic. Do hotels try to accommodate these scenarios? Is this the price to pay for what you get? Overall, I am happy with my stay, I just didn't want people who travel in the way I do, to not know. It was also incredibly hot in the rooms. There is no AC, just fans or portable AC's that kind of work. You will be sweating in the rooms. The hosts provide an extra fan along with the "AC" in the room that you can angle.. but yeah. Not very comfortable at all in that sense. Eventually it cools down, but that is after the hot hours of the day.

The 2 bedrooms were at the front of the building overlooking the main road into Malaga so very noisy even with double glazing.

The check-in process requires you to pick up the key at another location, which is far from the apartment you will be staying at, making it complicated. There are lots of things to say - (1) The apartment didn't look clean. Most probably for the moldy walls and bad smell. Apartment wasn't well maintained. (2) Needed to collect the apartment keys from a luggage storage which was about 2 km away from the apartment. (3) Washing machine doesn't work. (4) Some windows couldn't be locked, possing security issues. (5) Very close to main road and was noisy. (6) When entering the apartment for the first time, we were about to fall on the floor because of a sudden bump inside the apartment. It was weird to have a bump inside the apartment for no reason.
