“Very nice, cheap and friendly, breakfast! Steep stairs, lots of them, not suitable for older people”

Location is amazing, view from the window was nice despite not having sea view, room was big, bathroom was big with a full bathtub. Free breakfast! For free! Very nice.

To be improved

No proper soap in the room, only one type of shower/body gel intended for shower use that is intended to be used both for washing hands, showering and everything. I had to go buy soap separately. Soap is important. Soap is used to wash hands. Stairs, steep and lots of them. I felt bad for some older people that were struggling to get up the stairs. The listing should clearly state that stairs are steep and not suitable for older people. They had to take breaks from going upstairs. It broke my heart to see that. It is supposed to be a vacation place, not a place where getting to the room is a physical challenge. Either set up an elevator or write everywhere that the stairs are steep and physical fitness is required to get up the stairs. The room was surprisingly hot despite having two windows.

“Not total disaster, but very basic”

The best

Very good location - practically on the beach. Very nice, polite, helpfull and friendly staff at the reception. View from the room (reserved room with the sea view, not a case in other rooms). Rooms good cleaned - good cleaning staff. Always right temperature of water in a bathroom. Close to public transport. Very affordable price, with breakfastr incluided.

To be improved

The hotel is very worn out. Room was quite small, while the balcony was microscopic. Breakfest scheduled from 8.00 a.m. was always c.a. 10 min. late, the resaurant staff seam not to understand, that your have an appointment in a morning and tramway will not wait for you 10 min.

“Location is amazing, it’s a low budget place so don’t expect much from room . Beach view room is a must !”

Location, location , location . On the beach. Surrounded by places to eat. Beach club just up the road. If u want to be amongst the livelyness at a budget rate, then this is the place. Very very basic hotel, breakfast is only croissant or toast with packet jam & a juice, was enough for me. For the price it’s great . I had a beach view room.

Location is Amazing Staff are lovely Some say noisey, I say vibrant! Every hotel here has same issue. I loved it was noisy with people & music, that’s why I came here

“Not location location location.”

Knew staff member, so needed more time to know information. Restaurant staff excellent for dinner and drinks. Breakfast underwhelming. The location was great with a good transport system. Food was good.

To be improved

The hotel was a backpacker style with its own bathroom. The bath did not work, and hand-held shower poor pressure. There was no aircon and fan rusty and noisy. Our bed was a comfortable sofa bed. No blanket and rotten pillows. No flyscreens, so we were eaten alive by mosquitoes when windows open. If closed up sweating and hot. We had birds visit our room. The noise from the entertainment, fights, and then clean-up was constant. Worst of all were the parking hawkers who demanded money for free parking. Beach was dirty. Backpackers beach delight.

“It’s cheap, it’s run down and never again would I stay here.”

The best

The room has a very flimsy lock on which would take much to break. There is no lift and the stairs aren’t great. The room itself is small, with 2 single beds that creak at any movement. There were sheets and a flimsy pillow on the bed and 2 thin towels in the bathroom. Small tv high on the wall with no remote control. Has a small wardrobe with 3 coat hangers in it. The paint is chipped and pealing off the walls. There is no aircon, just a pedestal fan and window which did have a fly screen at least in the bedroom, but not in the bathroom. The walls are this and you can hear people talking and moving around their rooms. We are right near the beach and many restaurants and bars, but check around for the prices as some restaurants are charging almost twice the price as others for drinks and food, there are convenience stores around the area but you will need to walk about 500m or more to get to them. The streets are dirty and the area is very run down. There is public transport nearby also. The person at reception was nice. The beach is very close, literally behind the building, but the beach itself was dirty, it has cigarette butts, plastic, drink cans, on the beach. If you have your own car be mindful that parking is at a premium and their are a group of men who hang around the car park trying to to get you to park in spots they have blocked off and then ask for money. If you don’t pay we have told that they may damage your car. There is paid parking stations near by which are expensive but at least your vehicle is safe.
