The size of the apartment, the shower, the size of the living area. Fairly quiet position. Cafe/bar on site.

There was no reception, so nowhere to wait for host to let you in to complex. Apartment needed handyman to repair bathroom door which did not shut, drawers in bedroom, which had bottoms falling out, cabinet in lounge which was unsteady with glass in it and kitchen table that had an unstable glass top. Bed and bedding were substandard. There were no pillow protectors, there were no pillowcases for second set of pillows, the top sheet did not fit the bed on the second linen change, there was no duvet, only 2 single fleece blankets and the mattress was uncomfortable, it dipped. We had to request the advertised pool towels. There were no plugs for either the kitchen or bathroom sinks, we were told it was a Spanish thing... just to wash up using a running tap. Lack of some utensils, no pegs for airer and not many hangers. There were also no cushions for the sofa. It seemed it had had a quick clean, but the floor was dirty along with the kitchen worktop. The small balcony had a view onto a pile of rubble and people camping in vans and under tarpaulin. It had no sun at any point during the day. There were a lot of stairs to navigate, so not suitable for people with mobility issues. There was a lack of decent sunbeds around the pool areas, many were cracked or very worn. The whole complex was in need of repair. There were a few pools, with the main one running through the centre of the complex. Most were deep and did not have easy access. Even the one near the cafe, which had steps into it was deep at that point and did not have a handrail. We tried to raise a few issues with Juan, but he was in a hurry when he came with the pool towels and did not seem to be interested. Written by Cathy, Stephen's Wife.
