“Nice hotel in beautifully renovated Catalan "masia". Unreasonably expensive restaurant.”
The best

It's a nice small hotel in a beautiful renovated Catalan "masia". The pool is heated and can be used 24/7, which is quite fun. The hotel provides bath robes for the pool as well. The breakfast was really nice, with local meats and cheeses, eggs, etc. The staff were friendly and helpful.

To be improved

The hotel looks like it was a cool concept originally, but now it is a bit run down and poorly managed and kept. Overall things are in need of replacement or a fresh coat of paint. Objects at the pool are green/rusty, the room furniture is beaten up, the furniture on the terraces was dirty, etc. But overall, the hotel was still good value. However, the restaurant was a total mess. Extremely expensive food, generally lacking flavour and with mediocre service. We paid less for Michelin star dinners in Barcelona and we're totally open with paying a premium for great meals and restaurant experiences. This was not. Won't go again.

The best

The restaurant is great. Excellent food and wine for a reasonable price. Everything is gastronomic. The staff were very chilled out, efficient, friendly and helpful. The pool was a lovely way to relax after a day out. The village is also very nice with a number of architectural villas and nice food shops.

To be improved

There isn't really enough communal area to sit in and relax. If the weather is warm and dry, it's OK but inside it's a bit limited.

Reception was left with no one most of the time we went there, including check in (we had to wait a wile).

“A short stay at a luxurious country retreat hotel.”
The best

The room was spacious and the bed was big and comfortable. Great shower. The breakfast was lovely with locally sourced cold cuts and beautiful cheeses, great service too. We felt secluded and private even though there were quite a few other guests at the hotel.
