It's a beautiful building and grounds and a decent Spa with nice people.

To be improved

The lunchtime restaurant by the pool (which is the only one open at lunchtime we were told when we arrived) is very underwhelming for the 5 stars and the price of the hotel. A very limited menu and wine list at lunchtime isn't what you expect (and they kept getting the orders wrong) I just find the whole place a little soulless , lacking atmosphere. 5 mins away there are two restaurants that are head and shoulders better to eat in on so many levels but you don't want to have to go out. There are just lots of little things that they could do better and consistently to live up to its 5 star billing. No meet and greet , had to bring my own luggage down , wrong orders in restaurant and then remade & undercooked , these things shouldn't happen when you are paying this kind of money. Needs a bit of work

Very pretty property. Quiet country vibe. Very nice pool and spa. Good size rooms. Comfortable.

To be improved

Restaurant is subpar for an institution at this level, though breakfast was nice. You need to drive around a bit to get decent food.

Beautiful hotel. Gorgeous grounds and lovely scenery even though it rained for our stay. Lovely restaurant and helpful staff.

To be improved

We rented a “suite” for the night and it was relatively small and with no perks. No minibar, no tub.
